ATTO's Expander is much more that a Logical Unit Number Translator forexpanding the number of peripherals to seven per SCSI bus ID. Expanderis an intelligent connectivity device allowing multiple hosts to accessmultiple devices. Expander supports SCSI-2 and SCSI-3 host/devices.Expanders are available in either Fast or Fast/Wide single ended,differential, or any combination thereof. Requiring only a 3 1/2" half-height drive bay, these products offer customers maximumprice/performance and follow SCSI specifications to ensure easyinstallation, backward compatability, and connectivity.ATTO's Expander family is also ideal for system designers who desiremultiple host connectivity to multiple target configurations. Forexample, in a fault-tolerant scenario, two hosts SCSI busses can beisolated yet be connected to single or redundant device arrays. Thenumber of possible permutations are numerous.
